Wireless Sensor Networks

A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed wireless devices with sensors that self-form wireless networks autonomously, consuming extremely low power. SPP´s Sensor Networks and Systems develop and manufacture the products under a partnership with Crossbow Technology, a US company leading in this field. The use of WSN reduces the cost of cable-laying thereby enabling easy deployment and layout changes of controls systems such as for buildings, outdoor environment monitoring, and other industrial and home systems. While the technology is currently used in energy-saving control systems throughout Japan contributing to the reduction in CO2 emissions, SPP intends to further apply WSN in wider range of ubiquitous applications, growing future demands.
