【Notice】Withdrawal from the Inertial Sensor Product Business in the MEMS∞ Division

Sumitomo Precision Products Co., Ltd. has decided to discontinue its inertial sensor systems business operated by the MEMS∞ Division and to withdraw from this market.
Since the 1990s, Sumitomo Precision Products has been a pioneer in MEMS technology, designing and developing products based on its proprietary research. Among our high-precision MEMS inertial sensors, the MRN-01 has served the space industry in Japan, while the Northfinder™ has served the resource exploration industry domestically and internationally.
After carefully considering market demand and business profitability, the Company concluded that it would be extremely difficult to continue operating this business while maintaining the quality standards and responsibilities expected by its customers and stakeholders.
The technologies, expertise, and talent developed through this business will continue to support the growth of the MEMS∞ Division. Going forward, Sumitomo Precision Products will focus its management resources on MEMS foundry services and further strengthen the growth of this business.

Final order date: September 30, 2026
Please note that we will no longer accept orders after the final order date. In addition, depending on inventory levels and component availability, we may need to stop accepting orders before the final order date. We kindly ask that you make your arrangements as early as possible.
Final delivery deadline: March 31, 2027
Maintenance and repair support available until:March 31, 2028
Calibration: As a general rule, calibration services will not be provided.
