Research into model-based development (MBD) methods

In the development of leg systems, we apply Model Based Development (MBD) to a series of design processes such as setting component requirements, validating them, and evaluating them by creating system models and component models on a computer and performing simulations.
In this research, we are advancing studies to introduce MBD in all aspects, so we improve co-simulation technology that links simulations that have been performed in control and structural systems, replace 2D drawings with 3D drawings (3D models) used for information exchange with customers and suppliers, effectively utilize 3D models in a series of manufacturing processes such as processing and inspection, and using additive manufacturing (AM: Additive Manufacturing) technology, Auto Code Generation (ACG) for software source code, and hardware-in-the-loop simulator (HILS) evaluation. These MBD technologies enable optimal system and component design, support the electrification necessary for a decarbonized society, and contribute to weight reduction.
