Childcare leave can be taken up to the age of two. We also encourage men to take childcare leave.
Employees who are raising children up to the sixth grade of elementary school can work shorter hours than the regular working hours (7 hours 45 minutes) if they wish (the upper limit of the shortened working hours is 3 hours 45 minutes).
In addition to the childcare leave system, there is a childcare leave system that allows employees to take up to four weeks (28 days) of leave within eight weeks of the birth of their child.
If your spouse is about to give birth, you can take two days of special paid leave at the time of birth.
