About the pump
- What kind of hydraulic oil should I use? Hydraulic pumpcoolant pump

Hydraulic pump
Use hydraulic oil with a viscosity grade of ISO VG46 to VG68 (viscosity index of 90 or higher). For high pressures of 6.9 MPa or higher, we recommend using anti-wear hydraulic oil with a viscosity grade of ISO VG46 to VG68 or higher.
●If you are using non-flammable hydraulic oil (phosphate ester, water-glycol, fatty acid ester, w/o emulsion, etc.), please consult us each time.
Use clean hydraulic oil and be careful not to let foreign matter or water get in. Cloudy hydraulic oil indicates air bubbles, and brown discoloration indicates deterioration of the hydraulic oil.
Coolant pump
●If you use water-soluble coolant, make sure the concentration is 2% or more (dilution rate 50 times or less).
● Use with water-insoluble (oil-based) cutting fluids
The CX, CQTM, and E3P pumps can be used with non-water-soluble cutting fluids. - What is the range of suction pressure for hydraulic pumpsand coolant pumps?

The pump suction load should be -0.03 to 0.03 MPa.

Hydraulic pump
Install a filter of approximately 150 mesh on the suction side. Using a 25 μm line filter (on the discharge side) or a magnetic filter will improve the pump's lifespan.

- What precautions should I take when starting up the hydraulic pumpand coolant pump?

Hydraulic pump
●To improve lubrication of the sliding surfaces, oil the inside of the pump before use.
●When starting the pump for the first time, be sure to unload the pressure and do not suddenly increase the speed to high speed. Instead, perform repeated inching (starting and stopping) to remove the air inside the pump and in the suction piping before starting continuous operation.
Coolant pump
●Pour sufficient coolant into the tank.
Immediately after injection, air bubbles may be present, so please wait until the bubbles have disappeared before operating the pump.●After the initial test run or pump replacement, the pump needs to be filled with sufficient coolant, so please inch (operate the motor intermittently) several times. The inching motor operation time should be 0.5 to 1.0 seconds.
The E3P relief valve is set to no load when shipped from our company. Please set the pressure according to your usage conditions. Turning the pressure adjustment screw to the right (clockwise) will increase the pressure.

●Do not disassemble, reassemble or modify the pump motor without our consent. If you disassemble, reassemble or modify the pump motor without our consent, it will no longer be covered by our warranty and we will not be held responsible for any damages.
● Before removing the pump motor, be sure to turn off the power to the device and confirm that any residual pressure in the circuit has been released.
- Are there any specifications for viscosity and oil temperature when using hydraulic pumps?

Use within a viscosity range of 20 to 500 cSt and an oil temperature range of 0 to 60°C.
- Please tell me about the installation and alignment of the pump. Hydraulic pump

●Use a pump mounting base that is sufficiently rigid.
●Install the pump so that the suction port is facing to the side or upward.
●To connect the pump shaft and motor shaft, use a flexible coupling such as a chain coupling, keep the eccentricity error to 0.05 mm or less, and make sure that no force is applied perpendicular to the pump shaft.
●Cannot be used for horizontal pulling drive using belts, chains, gears, etc.
●Install the coupling so that it can be easily attached and detached from the pump shaft.

●Use all piping flanges.
●Make sure that the flow velocity inside the suction piping is within 1.5 m/sec.
●When using steel pipes, be careful not to apply any force from the piping to the pump.
- What is the rotation direction of the hydraulic pump?

Clockwise rotation (viewing the flange surface from the shaft end) is standard. Counterclockwise rotation is a special specification.
Also, check the direction of rotation by starting it up immediately.
- What is the maximum pressure of the hydraulic pump?
-
Use at maximum pressure for no more than 1/3 of a cycle, and maintain the pressure for no more than 20 seconds.
