For over half a century, Sumitomo Precision Products has been designing and manufacturing aircraft equipment, primarily propellers, landing gear, and heat exchangers. With this extensive track record and experience, we have built a solid foundation as a leading company in the global commercial aircraft equipment field, capable of developing and manufacturing products that directly affect aircraft flight safety.

landing system

We have cultivated the technology for designing, developing, and manufacturing landing gear over many years, and have participated in most of the development programs for domestic aircraft. In recent years, we have also independently participated in the development of overseas civil aircraft based on this experience, and have earned a reputation as one of the world's leading landing gear manufacturers, capable of independently designing, manufacturing, and developing mid-size aircraft. To date, we have worked on landing gear systems for regional jets such as the CRJ700/900/1000.

Thermal Control System

We are one of the world's leading manufacturers of thermal control systems, including heat exchangers, for aircraft and aircraft engines. Leveraging our unique design evaluation technology, fin forming technology, and metal brazing technology for aluminum and other materials, we are constantly working to develop thermal control products that are smaller, lighter, and more powerful.
In recent years, we have developed oil coolers for the auxiliary power units (APUs) installed on the B787 dream liner, as well as thermal control systems for Rolls-Royce engines also installed on the B787.

Propellers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

As a propeller manufacturer, we have been producing high-quality propeller systems for over half a century. For Ministry of Defense, we have domestically produced world-class propeller systems for the US-1A rescue flying boat and the P-3C patrol aircraft, and we also have a track record of overhauling the propellers for the domestically produced YS-11 passenger aircraft.
Our representative pneumatic equipment, the pneumatic engine starter, is small and lightweight yet capable of generating a large amount of power when starting an aircraft engine.We also manufacture hydraulic equipment such as actuators and valves.

Space-related products

The various technologies we have accumulated in the aircraft field are also utilized in the field of space development, which brings together the best of all technologies. We design and manufacture heat exchangers for the H-IIA rocket and the Japanese Experiment Module「Kibou」on the International Space Station.
