Sumitomo Precision Products' technologies contribute to the global environment
Ozone has a powerful oxidizing power, but at the same time, it is environmentally friendly as it decomposes back into oxygen. Sumitomo Precision Products has expanded the range of applications of ozone, starting with wastewater treatment processes for decolorization, deodorization, and decomposition of persistent COD, to include manufacturing processes for pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and FPDs, as well as pulp and textile bleaching processes. Ozone is active in fields that are becoming increasingly important as awareness of the global environment grows.

Public and industrial sectors
Ozone is an essential technology for water treatment and manufacturing processes in the public and industrial sectors.
We offer a wide range of air-cooled and water-cooled, highly efficient ozone generators, from small to large capacity, and have a proven track record of delivering them to a wide range of applications, including water supply and sewage systems, swimming pools, aquariums, industrial water/wastewater, recycled water, and other wastewater treatment plants, as well as food and industrial product production processes and pulp and textile bleaching processes.
We have also established a Water Engineering Center that can carry out various research and development and demonstration tests, focusing on ozone, to propose optimal water treatment solutions for each customer, and to develop new technologies for using ozone.

Treatment of refractory organic matter
AOP (Advanced Oxidation Process) technology using ozone is also being applied to the decomposition of endocrine disrupting substances and persistent organic matter, and its applications are steadily expanding.
We have a proven track record of delivering products to decompose dioxane, dioxin, phenol, cyanide, and other substances contained in wastewater from chemical plants and waste disposal sites.

Semiconductor and FPD fields
Our ozone generators and ozone-added ultrapure water production systems are also used in cutting-edge manufacturing processes in the electronics field, including semiconductors, FPDs, and functional materials.
We continue to develop and bring to market new products that meet the increasing demands for particle (foreign matter) and metal impurity reduction and for higher ozone concentrations every year. Our world-class high-concentration ozone generators are used in environmentally friendly cleaning processes that reduce the amount of chemicals and ultrapure water used, as well as new oxide film generation processes such as ALD.
